For those of you familiar with the concept of Facebook you’ll probably have heard it on the news over the past few weeks …. it’s gaining ground and a number of people are using it to raise awareness for their various causes…. so I thought ….. why not ours?
So here goes.
You’ll need to click [...]

Kidney Cancer Resource Next Steps?……

Over the last couple of months I think we’ve (myself an Greg) built a pretty solid foundation that others can start adding to, and my belief is that we need to take it to the next level now and get others involved in the editing and maintenance of the data otherwise I’m sure myself and [...]

Surprised by my Local MP……..

To say I was shocked if not a little patronised by this response is somewhat of an understatement.  I’m sure it wasn’t meant, however have a quick read for yourselves….

Statistics, Statistics, Statistics……….

I’ve had a little time to ponder after the Radio show on Kidney Cancer, and another thought came to me, I’m sure our host was just playing devil’s advocate, however he threw into the mix that Sutent hadn’t been approved by NICE because it wasn’t proven and there was not enough evidence i.e. Statistics.
What are [...]

Elderly parents of Kidney Cancer Patient forced to sell home…….

I (along with others) was on Radio 5 Live last night on a phone-in about an elderly couple who are being forced to sell their home to pay for the costs of Sutent for their son who has advanced stage Kidney Cancer. Their local PCT (the Northumberland Care Trust) have refused to pay for the [...]

It’s been a busy month so far in Kidney Cancer Resource land and I’ve found that with the commitments of work and the fact that I’ve just got my music studio back up and running as well, that it’s tougher and tougher to actually write any blogs.  Some may say that’s a good thing.

I’ve [...]

It does this by breaking [...]

The Big Chill ……(Part II)

Well that was fun.  Much better than I’d expected.  I whimped out of
putting my own tent up and hired a 4 berth one with inflatable air
beds…. much more comfortable and far less effort.  Almost civilised,
but not quite.
This was my first ever festival so I had no idea
what to expect, but what I didn’t expect was [...]

The Big Chill….

I’m off to The Big Chill with my daughter this weekend.  One of her friend’s fathers suggested it, and in haste I just said I’d go with them not knowing what the event was, what music was going to be on, where it was…. nothing.  I just thought it would be a good idea.
I’ve since [...]

Nuendo vs Pro Tools…..

Now that I’m putting my studio back together again I’ve been punting around the web a bit to see if it’s worth me biting the bullet and moving away from Nuendo to Pro Tools.
If I’m honest I’m only considering it because that’s what appears to be the market standard, however when you dig in a [...]
